Winter Break Assignments
All winter break assignments have gone home already just in case anyone wanted a head start if they were going on vacation. There is a reading assignment and an inventors project. Both are due back Jan. 2 when we return to school. It is important that your student is working on their reading skills over the break.
If you have a 3rd grader they will be taking their second portfolio (2 of out 7) reading test the week we return. Any extra reading comprehension practice is helpful at home. A great website to get common core standards articles with reading comprehension questions that are very similar to their portfolios is www.readworks.org.
It's free to make an account and has paired reading passages and questions for all grade levels.
