Week of October 5th

This week in math group A has been working on graphing data with pictographs, bar graphs and tally charts. We still are continuously practicing how to make change with money, telling time and elapsed time. These are also skills that should be practiced at home. Group B has been practicing number stories, arrays, regrouping with subtraction and multiplication. Any practice with these skills at home would be helpful as well. Group C has been practicing decimal place value, using decimals in measurement, types of lines and angles. We've also been exploring quadrangles and polygons. In writing, we are learning how to write stories in order from first, next, then and last. We also created some Fall poems to get ready for the season and the leaves on our playground were used for inspiration!
