Today, we started learning about desert habitats and the animals that live in them. We started finding where specific animals live and which continent and desert they are located. We started a new book in our literacy small groups called The Pony Express. We used elbow macaroni to find where apostrophes showing possession, contraction and quotes should be. We worked in teams gluing the macaroni on where the punctuation was missing and presented it. In Social Studies, we are making a democracy tree and putting the three branches of government and what their jobs are. We also sent letters to the president.
